Plantation Drive Volunteering by EVS Students – SAHS
In celebration of World Environment Day 2025, the Environmental Science students of SAHS actively volunteered in a plantation drive held at Aayikulam Lake, Muthirapalayam. This green initiative was organized in collaboration with the Zero Waste Foundation, Pondicherry, under the Swachh Bharat Mission–Urban initiative, aligned with the global theme "Ending Plastic Pollution Globally." During the event, the students planted nearly 70 saplings, contributing to the restoration and beautification of the Aayikulam Lake surroundings. This effort not only enhanced local biodiversity but also reinforced the importance of ecological conservation and sustainable living. The program served as a platform for students to engage in environmental responsibility, community service. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Zero Waste Foundation for their guidance and support in making this event impactful and memorable.
