World Students Day-2025

SAHS Youth Club, School of Allied Health Sciences, Puducherry organized Elocution Competition on the occasion of 'World Students Day-2025' on the topic 'The Power of Dreams' on 15th October 2025 in SAHS Campus, Puducherry. About 15 students participated in the competition.
Winner: Yasmin A, BSc Physician Assistant- 3rd year
Runner: Nishant Kumar Singh, BSc Forensic Science Technology - 2nd year
The prizes were distributed to the winners by Prof.S.Andrew John Silvester, Director, SAHS- Puducherry Campus.
World sight Day 2025- Seminar

On the occasion of World Sight Day 2025, the Department of OptometrySchool of Allied Health Sciences, Puducherry Campus,y VMRF-DU organized a seminar based on the theme "Love Your Eyes" at the SAHS Auditorium, Puducherry.
The event began with a prayer and lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome address by Prof. S. Andrew John Silvester, Director, who highlighted the significance of World Sight Day and emphasized the need for greater awareness about eye health.
The seminar featured the following esteemed speakers:
Dr. Subashini Kaliaperumal, Professor, Department of Ophthalmology, JIPMER – Puducherry, who delivered an insightful talk on the theme "Love Your Eyes", focusing on the importance of early detection and regular eye check-ups.
Dr. D. Kesavan, Consultant, AVMC – Puducherry, who addressed the audience on the importance of eye safety in daily life and preventive measures to protect vision.
Mr. Ganesan, Optometrist, JIPMER – Puducherry, who presented on eye safety technologies and discussed the impact of digital eye strain in the modern era.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from nearly 150 students representing various colleges, all of whom received participation certificates for their involvement.
The event was also organised by Department of Optometry .
INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

On the occasion of INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY -2025 around 100 students and 4 faculties from SAHS, Puducherry campus have actively participated in the Yoga Mass Demonstration Programe under the theme of yoga for one Earth , One Health on 21 June 2025 at PALMYRA BEACH, Puducherry. The Programme was coordinated by SAHS Puducherry Campus faculties.
